Visiting Eco-Schools US

On June 2nd we went to Virginia to visit Jennifer Hammonds at the headquarters of the national Wildlife Foundation. They are hosting the Eco-School program in the US and we met to see if there can be some future colaborations between Eco-Schools in the US and Ghana.

Jennifer was very nice. First she took os on a toure to show us how children can us GPS and find treasures in the woods - like we have done with our 4H club in Norway. Then we went inside and learned about how they are planning to work with the Eco-Schools in the US. Then we showed pictures from the schools that we have worked with in Ghana. She also gave us a lot of presents and information, and we gave her the batikk Eco-School shirts that has been made in Ghana. It was a very nice visit, and we hope we can work with Jennifer again.
